The Name

Here are just a few of the magnificent and glorious Dimensions of our Creator, Who is YHWH.  Scripture tells us that we are to call upon The Name to be saved.  Fortunately, in calling upon His Name, transliterated spelling is irrelevant.   There is one and only one way to come to Him, call upon Him, and enter covenant relationship with Him.  That one way is through His Son, Messiah Y'hshuah.

Y'hshuah means Yah is salvation!

EL Shaddai . . . G-d Almighty
And G-d said unto him, I am EL Shaddai
[G-d Almighty]: be fruitful and multiply; a nation and a company of nations shall be of thee, and kings shall come out of thy loins;                                  Genesis 35:11

YHWH Shalom . . . The Existing One is Peace
Then Gideon built an altar there unto YHWH, and called it YHWH-Shalom: unto this day it is yet in Ophrah of the Abiezrites.                              Judges 6:24
                                                     
YHWH Ra’ah . . . The Existing One is our Shepherd
A Psalm of David. YHWH Ra’ah; I shall not want.

EL Yireh . . . G-d Sees
And Abraham called the name of that place EL-Yireh: as it is said to this day, In the mount of ADONAI it shall be seen.                                             Genesis 22:14
                                                           
YHWH Tzidkenu . . . The Existing One is our Righteousness
In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely: and this is His Name whereby He shall be called, YHWH-Tzidkenu.                          Jeremiah 23:6
                                                       
YHWH Shammah . . . The Existing One is there
It was round about eighteen thousand measures: and the name of the city from that day shall be,
YHWH-Shammah.                  Ezekiel 48:35

YHWH Raphah . . . The Existing One heals
And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of YHWH thy G-d, and wilt do that which is right in HIS sight, and wilt give ear to HIS commandments, and keep all HIS statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am YHWH-Raphah.                           Exodus 15:26
                                                       
YHWH Nissi . . . The Existing One is our Banner
And Moses built an altar, and called the name of it YHWH-Nissi:      Exodus 17:15

YHWH M’kad’sh . . . The Existing One is Holy
Sanctify yourselves therefore, and be ye holy: for I am  YHWH your G-d.      Leviticus 20:7
                                               
Ehyeh Asher Ehyeh . . . I AM
And G-d said unto Moses, Ehyeh Asher Ehyeh [I AM THAT I AM]: and He said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.

EL Yon . . .  Most High
When EL Yon [Most High] divided to the nations their inheritance, when he separated the sons of Adam, he set the bounds of the people according to the number of the children of Israel.                Deuteronomy 32:8

And he said, ADONAI [Master and Creator of life] G-d, whereby shall I know that I shall inherit it?                                                         Genesis 15:8

I would urge and encourage you to call upon Him, as He introduced Himself to Moses and the patriarchs.

And G-d said moreover unto Moses, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, YHWH G-d of your fathers, the G-d of Abraham, the G-d of Isaac, and the G-d of Jacob, hath sent me unto you: this is My Name for ever, and this is My memorial unto all generations.  Exodus 3:15
