Deep Cleaning

                                    Contributed by Jeannie Wood Ladd

With Pesach/Passover & Chag HaMatzot/Unleavened Bread quickly approaching, it's time to begin to clean out our pantries of leaven. As we do an inventory of what is there, gathering it to the to the front of the shelves, so we don't forget it's there, may we be ever mindful of the spiritual.
Abba always uses the physical things, to remind us of the spiritual, and Yeshua came to show us VERY clearly that Torah is SO much more than the physical application. It is MUCH, MUCH deeper.
So as we do these physical preparations for Pesach and Chag HaMatzot, may we not neglect the more important things. It's easy to clean out the pantry of leaven, but our hearts?? Not as easy.
Is there any hidden leaven of sin? These Feast Days are to remind us of the condition of our hearts, not just the mechanics of the physical leaven in our homes.
May we be as diligent to remove the hidden leaven of sin that would hinder us, as we are to remove the leaven from our pantry.
Psalm 26:2 "Examine me, O יהוה, and prove me; Try my kidneys and my heart".
I John 1:8-9
8 "If we say that we have no sin, we are misleading ourselves, and the truth is not in us.9 If we confess our sins, He is trustworthy and righteous to forgive us the sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness".

I Cor 11:28-32
28 "But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread and drink of that cup.29 For the one who is eating and drinking unworthily, eats and drinks judgment to himself, not discerning the body of the Master.30 Because of this many are weak and sick among you, and many sleep.31 For if we were to examine ourselves, we would not be judged.32 But when we are judged, we are disciplined by the Master, that we should not be condemned with the world".
