Then it Gets Personal

The next several verses in Deuteronomy 28, I've experienced since I began walking with Him.  As a matter of fact, several of the curses plagued me only last year, because I just couldn't see the line between offering temporary assistance and moving away from the plan of YHWH.  I'd already heard, what was being talked about would not come to fruition, but when the situation "appeared dire," and now in retrospect, it wasn't at all, but I did what was socially expected and not only did I miss out on having my effort blessed, it was cursed.  Thankfully, YHWH is a forgiving G-d, who did not spare me of the consequences, but has allowed me to put out the effort once again and enjoy His blessing upon the work of my hands.

I'm not a nation, but I do know America is heading into this, from the simple fact we chose to embrace the love of money and attempted to sanctify that greed using the Scripture contained here in Deuteronomy 28.  Getting back to my learning experience.  I knew why I'd been brought here and I also knew there was the promise of my descendants being in this land, but I could clearly see a problem in the timing and the heart of the matter.

I'd love for this place to be what I've envisioned, but I do know it has to be G-d's way in His timing and there is to be no compromise, even in the area of family!  That isn't easy, especially in our society of self-defined "family values."

I made one statement that I do know revealed my heart to YHWH and although my effort was not protected by His blessing, my heart was.  The vineyard we planted . . . died.  The newly planted orchard . . . died, eaten by grasshoppers . . .  Even the livestock got into some toxic vegetation due to the drought, lost a few of the herd that way.  My health took a real turn, suffering 4 different injuries resulting in broken bones . . . every time!

Now, hear me.  I repented and I got the chance to do it over and the curse has been removed, but I'm a year behind and there is some damage that is simply beyond natural repair.  This is where our nation is headed, and heading quickly!   I'm thoroughly convinced that strep, staph, and MRSA in our health care are some of the manifestations of the curses.

I urge you to read Deuteronomy 28:26-45.  Ask YHWH to show you just how many of these things are already unfolding.  Repentance is the only solution.  To experience G-d's blessings in this life, we must follow His Instructions for this life.

Moreover all these curses shall come upon thee, and shall pursue thee, and overtake thee, till thou be destroyed; because thou hearkened not unto the voice of YHWH thy God, to keep his commandments and his statutes which he commanded thee:  Deuteronomy 28:45 

For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.  II Peter 2:21

We cannot cherry pick the promises and blessings and make demands upon our terms with an Almighty G-d!
