"Next Year in Jerusalem"

This statement, "next year in Jerusalem" is the traditional closing for the end of the Pesach Siddur, but to be honest, in the hot debate of truth vs. tradition, I'm not so sure as to where this statement falls regarding Passover.  I realize when Messiah returns, through the millennial reign we will be traveling to Jerusalem, regularly.  I've also wondered in the new heaven and earth, if the land will again be joined as it was before Genesis 10:25, but that's a topic for another article.

Zechariah 14:16 clearly states there will be an ingathering for Feast of Tabernacles in Jerusalem, with blessings and consequences attached to the attendance or absence of said gatherings. This clearly indicates upon Messiah's return and through His reign, Feast of Tabernacles will take place in Jerusalem.  His return is what will change what we are doing now!  HalleluYah!

No more squabbling over truth or tradition. Messiah is Truth!  No more squabbling over moon phases.   Messiah was there when the moon was spoken into that dark night sky.  No more squabbling over the length and time of day vs. night.  He will set us all straight . . . without question.

We might discover something based upon Paul's writings.  Messiah will clarify everything that matters . . .  We just aren't quite sure yet, what will simply be cast aside unanswered because it was just one of those things we humans chose to debate, that had no eternal value, whatsoever!

So, I will be calling it truth and hope, to proclaim at the end of Sukkot, "Next year in Jerusalem!"

And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, YHWH of hosts, and to keep the Feast of Tabernacles. [Sukkot]  Zechariah 14:16
