The Bigger Picture

To be honest, I was so caught up in being thankful, I almost missed the bigger picture.  One of our contributors mentioned simply in a conversation after reading last week's article in Holy Homesteading "another gate open."  It was then that I realized this needed to be taken into consideration with the unhinged gate.  Immediately, I sought Abba and information began to pour forth!

The gate that was unhinged is a big pasture gate that covers a 16 foot opening, while the open gate on the deck is less than three feet.  As I mentioned previously the goats went through the unhinged gate, but all remained on the ground, not even on the deck steps at the open gate.  Also in the report of the unhinged gate, the opening was not wide enough for the bulls to come through.  These occurrences took place about a week or two apart, and I have been truly convicted at how easy it is to be too busy to connect the dots . . .

The deck was covered in lush green plants, primarily herbs, but I have a few experiments going including a couple of avocado trees.  The point being, all flourishing and ordinarily quite alluring to goats.  It's rare that one of the milk goat would not be on the top step on the other side of the closed gate, when I went out.  That morning though, they were all down gathered between the milking parlor and the house, and just looked at me.  It was as if something or someone was actually blocking the entrance to the deck.  They didn't appear alarmed, just aware that access was denied.

As current events loom toward the unhinging of society, as we know it, a certain level of anarchy will arise, seemingly unnoticed.  It's already happening.  The US headlines are filled with reports of violence, yet we still comfort ourselves with a certain amount of geographical distance, that "it can't happen here."  It is happening here!  We choose to become politically divided on the headlines that get a great deal of coverage and forget the reality of what has occurred.  Since 9/11, actually since the death of President Kennedy, I've become aware that our nation will side-step the ominous reality to debate the unknown details, but with social media, the debates and discussions are more prominent.

We openly claim to not believe our mainstream media, yet we still rely on mainstream media to verify the alternative news reports!  As an alternative news journalist and blogger, I know for a fact, this to be true.

Until I truly sought YHWH on this matter, I knew the unhinged gate was a sign, but I didn't realize it was a sign that it had already taken place.  The wide road gate of our society is already unhinged, and we can see various things in our society gaining unwarranted access.  The unhinged opening is not yet wide enough for "the bulls" to come through and fully collapse our way of life . . . For now, the narrow way is guarded and protected, but Scripture does tell us there will be martyrs.  

At this time, I understand the bulls to be the financial powers, the goats to be the religious in our society, and of course, the two very different gates to symbolize the wide road and narrow path.
